‘Summer Afternoon’ was painted during the days of creating the ‘Prelude Collection’ and captures one of the many leisurely afternoons Katie spent with friends on the rocks of Ogunquit, Maine. They loved making these painting days a festive affair, always coming dressed to impress. Reading poetry and playing music in the open ocean air were some of their favorite ways to enjoy these these quintessential summer days. This painting serves as a beautiful memory of relishing in life’s simply joys.
